True Beauty 🌸

6 December 2024 by

" Now that I'm wearing my most beautiful outfit, full of bright colours, now that the light is perfect for me to shine, they say I'm beautiful."
They look at me, travel the world to see me, take pictures of me, share them and talk about me everyday.
They say they love me now but I've always been the same.
So where were they when winter hit me ? Where will they be when it will hit me again?
They call this short-lived moment Beauty, but does this mean that I'm ugly the rest of the year?
When my flowers will all fall down, swept again by the wind, knocked down by the rain, will they remember their beautiful words and still love me the same?
Will they still hug me?
Will they put their hands on my heart and talk to me the way they talk to me now?
Will I still see stars in their eyes?
I know most of them will forget me in just a second, but a very few of them will still see me the way they see me now.
When the perfect light of spring will fade away and the skies will turn grey, when my ephemeral beauty will fall asleep for a while, or maybe forever, some of them will come to me and remind me that winter is just a normal part of life and that my beauty doesn't rely on just a few flowers.
And on that day, I will really feel loved, for THAT, to me, is true love.
Something unconditional that doesn't die when the weather changes, something that comes from inside and that doesn't fade away when times get hard.

That is to me, the essence of TRUE BEAUTY, and it forever will be... 🌸"

With love, always ❤️💫

If this one resonates with you, you are welcome to contact me to make it yours, or to let it become the starting point of a painting created especially for you.

Or you may choose to leave them where they are, so others can read them, and support their existence, because some beautiful things in life are not meant to be owned, only felt.
